Nagaur Festival 2018

We got seduced to come back for a fourth time by the offer of a nice room at the hotel instead of a tent – and boy where we glad to stay in that room. The festival dates were earlier in February than last year and in addition, we were treated to some cold air that blew down from the Himalayas.

The program and hospitality were of as high a quality as in the previous years. The core of the festival are the best of Rajasthani  Manganiyar musicians and Madan Gopal Singh and his Friends. Additional performers introduced us to music from Morocco, Andalusia, Iran, Sardinia, Lithuania, Armenia, Ethiopia and Algeria.
